Privacy Policy
Effective November 8, 2026
Roamed keeps your travels on your phone. There is no account or sign-in, and your places, trips, photos and memories never leave your device. Roamed is free and shows ads from Google, which collect some device and usage information as described below.
What stays on your device
Everything you add to Roamed is stored only on your device: the cities and countries you've been to or want to visit, your visit dates, trips, memories, photos you attach, your home cities and your settings. We have no servers that receive it, so we can't see it.
Photos
If you choose Import from Photos, Roamed asks for permission to read your photo library. It reads where and when each photo was taken to suggest cities and dates, and all of this happens on your device. Photos you attach to a city are kept in Roamed's own storage on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Notifications, widgets and Live Activities
Trip reminders are scheduled on your device. The Home Screen widget and the trip countdown on your Lock Screen read your Roamed data on your device to show it. None of this is sent to us.
Advertising
Roamed shows a banner ad served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google's ads SDK collects information from your device, which can include your IP address and approximate location derived from it, device and app information, ad interactions (such as views and taps), crash and performance diagnostics, and, if you allow it, your device's advertising identifier.
- On iPhone, Roamed asks whether to allow tracking. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the advertising identifier isn't shared and ads aren't personalised using it. You can change this anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- If you're in a region that requires consent (such as the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), Google's consent form asks for your choices before any ads load.
- Roamed never gives advertisers your places, trips, photos, memories or anything else you add to the app.
Google's use of this information is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Maps
On iPhone, the satellite globe and close-up maps come from Apple Maps. Apple receives the map areas being loaded, as described in Apple's privacy policy. On other devices, Roamed's own globe loads detailed tiles over the internet: satellite imagery from Esri (ArcGIS) and night-time city lights from NASA. Like any website, these services receive your device's IP address and which map area is being loaded. Roamed doesn't send any map provider your places, trips or any other personal information. See Esri privacy and NASA privacy.
Sharing and backups
When you share a card or your map, or save a backup, Roamed hands the image, text or file to your phone's share sheet. It goes only where you choose to send it.
Contacting us
If you email us at support@roamed.travel, or use Contact us in Settings, which opens your email app with a message to us, we use what you send only to reply to you.
Deleting your data
You can remove any place, trip, photo or memory inside the app. Deleting Roamed from your device deletes all of its data. We don't hold a copy of your travel data. To reset the advertising identifier, use your device's privacy settings.
Children
Roamed isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date above. If a future version of Roamed adds features such as paid plans, this page will be updated before they arrive.
